Jeremy Eden – Principal Consultant (Commander Royal Navy)

“I joined the RN at the age of 28 and spent ten years providing medical care at sea and on land with Royal Marine units. Commissioning in 2005, I spent several years providing support to operations at sea and on land as well as deploying in both domains. Upon leaving the RN in 2021 I worked as an Operations Manager, bringing my unique background to effect in the private healthcare sector. After 12 months a move to JP Morgan Commercial Investment Bank beckoned, as a Control Operations Lead in compliance. During this period, I took stock of where I was and where I wanted to be and decided on a career change.

Coming across CXC via an online recruitment webinar piqued my interest as it resonated with many of my personal drivers and values.  Working for CXC has confirmed those initial first impressions.  Veteran friendly, honest, and extremely welcoming I have felt comfortable from day one.  The company are true to its values and encourages you to strike a work life balance, to further develop yourself and actively ensures that the role you are placed in is right for you.  Looking forward I have no doubt that I will thrive within CXC and would recommend anyone interested in Consultancy to reach out to CXC and have an initial chat.  It could change your working life for the better.  It has mine.”

Katarzyna Arkuszynska – Assistant Business Manager

“I joined Company X Consulting in May 2023 as an assistant Business Manager, supporting Business Managers and Executives with daily tasks to ensure administration is processed and maintained according to the Business’s needs. A key aspect of the role involves organising induction days for newly appointed Consultants, assisting with transition from service into the Company, this applies to all new joiners, and is especially helpful for personnel who have recently left the Military.

I pride myself on maintaining positive stakeholder engagement and have a wealth of experience in the administrative arena. CXC Ltd has provided me with the opportunity to expand my knowledge and experience further at every turn, due to the Companies positive work environment and collaborative culture. The leadership encourages innovation, fosters personal growth and values employee contributions. It is refreshing to be part of the company that embraces change; I look forward to working with my colleagues each day!”

Emily Oxley – Principal Consultant (Lieutenant Royal Navy)

“I joined CXC in June 2023 following a 22-year career in the Royal Navy (RN). In December 2022 I found out that I was being medically discharged and suddenly my timeframe for transitioning and finding a new role was much shorter. Following a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2019, I continued to serve and have a fulfilling career, and although medical discharge was a mutual decision it was still a shock; the RN was all I knew.

My career in the RN was varied, from joining at 17 as a Communicator, to qualifying as a Farsi linguist, then becoming a WO1 Cryptologic Technician to then commissioning as an Intelligence Officer. My experience spanned operations and intelligence management all over the world but translating this into a civilian role proved difficult.

CXC understood this and understood the journey that I was undertaking, which I felt from the very first FTG online job fair that I attended. The company not only values my professional skillset but also me as an individual and more importantly my family.

Also recognising my previous EDI, networking and lived experiences, CXC has invested in me further; making me a company Staff Representative and affording me challenge of developing the role further and creating the Company EDI policy.

Since joining CXC I have had the opportunity to undertake two roles to develop my professional skillset further. CXC ensured that these roles were right for me and assisted every step of the way. I’m now looking forward to continuing my journey.

I couldn’t be happier!”

Neil Burrell – Principal Consultant

(British Army, Warrant Officer Class 1)

“I officially joined CXC in May 2022, leaving a 25 year career in the Royal Corps of Signals. The Army was all that I had known, joining straight from school as a fresh faced 16 year old. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenging nature of delivering communications all around the world.

On transition away from the Military, CXC took all the stress out of leaving, mainly because I had support from colleagues who had been through the same journey. They were aware of my background and assisted in the next steps. CXC understood what it took to make WO1 (YofS) Burrell turn into Mr Neil Burrell and helped me really understand how best to move forward. The Company helped immensely with other elements of my transition that I did not even know that I needed to know such as my pension and tax code.

CXC also helped me develop as a person, a highly inclusive company, they recognised my Equality and Diversity Advisor qualification and experience in the military and challenged me to use it to develop the company inclusive policy by providing funding to attend a CMI L7 Diploma in Strategic Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, making me a Staff Representative.

Since joining I have worked within the MOD as a contractor in Defence Digital on the SATCOM programme where my military experience provided assistance with the SATCOM delivery of the future. This gives me the ability to work in an area I am familiar with and experienced with coupled with the flexibility to deliver it remotely, allowing me to do take the Children on the school run and see family on a regular basis.”
