Stroke Association

At Company X Consulting (CXC) Ltd’s recent AGM, we had the privilege of hearing from Danny, a representative from the Stroke Association, who shared his powerful personal experience with stroke. His story was deeply moving, highlighting how the Stroke Association provided invaluable support during his recovery, and reminding us all that stroke can affect anyone, at any time.

We were proud to announce a donation of £250 to help fund the vital work that the Stroke Association does across the UK. This includes supporting veterans, serving members of the armed forces and their families. The Stroke Association’s support can be life-changing, helping them regain their independence and rebuild their lives.

Marvin White, Relationship Fundraiser at the Stroke Association, said:

“Over 88,000 people survive a stroke every year in the UK, but surviving a stroke is just the start of a long and gruelling recovery journey. Mums, dads, grandparents, young people, even children – anyone can have a stroke, and its impact is traumatic.
Brain damage, caused by a stroke, can leave survivors unable to move, see, speak or even swallow. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing life-long support for all stroke survivors and their families, helping them find strength through support.

Our tailored support, vital scientific research, and campaigning are only possible with the determination of the stroke community and the generosity of our donors such as CXC Ltd, and we’re hugely grateful to them.”

The CXC Benevolent Trust supports the promotion of the efficiency of the armed forces by providing direct and indirect support to veterans and established veterans’ charities to prevent or recover from the poor outcomes that too often coincide with ceasing military active service.
